Top 6 Questions Apartment Owners Ask About internal Water Cooled Air Conditioning?

Q: “I can’t have an outside condenser unit at my property, will an internal air conditioning system work for me?”

A: Yes, our internal water-cooled solution is the best alternative when you are not allowed (or don’t have room) to install a condenser on the outside of the property.

Q: “How does internal air conditioning compare to conventional air conditioning?”

A: Our wide range of internal air conditioning systems provide a cooling capacity of up to 15kw and a cooling power input of up to 5kw. This makes our internal systems as powerful and efficient as any conventional air conditioning unit. Our internal condensers can supply up to 8 rooms with cool air at the specified desired temperature, easily controlled with our smartphone app or remote.

Q: “Would I need to get planning permission?”

A: The fully-internal water-cooled air conditioning system doesn’t require planning permission. This is ideal for apartment owners as there is no external unit and no external modification to the property is required.

If the air conditioning system is to be installed into a listed building or a property within a conservation area, you may be unsure whether installation is permitted. If this is the case, we suggest you seek advice from your local planning office.

Q: “Since the unit is water-cooled, how much water does it use?”

A: Our internal air conditioning system uses roughly the equivalent amount of water to a dishwasher or washing machine, running for the same amount of time. Our condenser requires standard mains pressure, and a valve will shut off water supply once the set temperature is reached, and will remain shut until cooling is required.

Q: “Are the systems going to affect my apartment’s aesthetics?”

A: Our air conditioning units are sleek and stylish, with a clean design that fits seamlessly into the decor of any apartment. With both wall mounted and ducted options, there’s sure to be an option that matches your requirements.”

Q: “How is a fully-internal water-cooled system installed?”

A: The process is straightforward and concise.

Firstly, we install the condenser and connect it to your water mains, drainage and electrical supply. It’s compact design makes it easy to conceal in a utility room or cupboard.

Next the indoor units (which can be wall mounted, floor mounted or ducted) are installed in each room which requires cooling. The optimal locations are established at survey stage, ensuring the property is cooled in the most efficient way. They are connected to the internal condenser by insulated refrigerant pipes and communication cables, fed through access holes we carefully cut in the plasterboard.

The system is then fully tested and commissioned before making good of plasterboard and re-decorating to a high standard.
